How do I kettle train my puppy?

My puppy is a 7 week old american bulldog she always cries at night in the kettle to the point were we cant sleep so my boyfriend takes her out and puts her on the bed with us I was wondering what we can do tp prevent this from happing?

Kennel training speeds up housetraining…a kennel is a safe place to be, while riding in a car…a kennel is a safe place to be when we have to work, or be gone from the house for other reasons.

Ty is right about ignoring her when she crys…Keep the kennel next to the bed, so she knows you are close…but under NO circumstance take her out. She’s already on her way of developing a bad habit…so tell boyfriend to man up, and suffer for a few nights…she’ll quit…and eventually look forward to her kennel at bedtime.

An old trick, but it works. Purchase an old wind up clock…the type that ticks. Place it under the blankets. it reminds the puppy of his mom’s heart beat and tends to calm them down. Also, you dog has been separated early from it’s mom…not great.

Alright, still have no idea why people lock up their dogs, but whatever.

You have to deal with the crying. Sorry, but you’re going to have to just ignore it and wait for it to go away. There is no other way to do this. As stag3rd said, you’re just reinforcing her when you take her out. Buy some ear plugs.

do not put her in a kettle, that is what you use to boil water!! you are talking about a kennel, a much different device. the worst thing you can do is take her out when she whines, you are teaching her that whining gets her what she wants. if you just put up with it for a week or two and sternly command her to stfu it will probably stop. or there is always put the thing outside where a dog belongs.
