How do I get my grade and gpa higher?

I’m a freshman in high school and in one of my electives I have a D…I have 3 days until the quarter ends so I have 3 days to bring it up. But how?! I already asked the teacher (and I think the teacher hates me since I don’t turn in my work) if I can bring it up somehow and she said, “Well…we have an unit test and a binder check so if you ACE both of those two assignments then you MIGHT get a C-“ I think there are no extra credits left in that class so now what do I do?! Also I don’t really know a lot about colleges but will this effect my transcript? Like is it really bad to get a D or a C on an elective? PLEASE HELP!

P.S. I know I have gotten myself into this mess, and I will regret not doing my work but please help me!

Answer #1

you need to STUDY for the unnit test. and for the binder check: organize your binder or whatever your class does for binder check. for binder check at my school, the teacher just checks to see if our binders are organized

Answer #2

As for the answer for your transcripts and what colleges will look at , it will bring down your gpa but sometimes a high gpa isn’t always used to decide if your applicatable. School participation and being involved really helps, it shows that you are dedicated and involved. An A is worth 4pts a B is 3pts C is 2pts and D is 1pt. So count how many classes you have and add up the pts then divide by how many classes you have and that should give you your GPA. Yea you should definitely do your homework little homework grades save me from tests that I mess up on. Since you are in a short amount of time you should definietly study and make sure your binder is correct and if you get a C its ok just keep trying.
