I got my round-off backhand spring and I was doing it just fine last tuesday but during our Competition practice for cheerleading my hand slipped threw a crack in the mats and I landed on my knees and now when I go to do my round-off backhand spring my coach says I look over my shoulder when I do my round-off backhandspring.I need help and I got CANAM (a major cheerleading competition on Thursday) HELP ME PLEASE
So your like looking over your shoulder which results in your body twisting - which of course results in a crappy roundoff bakchandsprinng? What has happened is if this is the situations is that your now afraid of doing it and feel you have to look and see whats going on. Have someone spot you while doing backhandspring on a soft matt until youre not twisting your body - trust yourself enough to do so - because when you twist you will in no way be able to pull it off, so all you have to do is regain that confidence, trust yourself and well yeah just do it.
After you master it on the soft matt you will have no prob doing on the hard matt. Just stop being afraid and you'll make it:)
