how can I convince my mom to let me get a belly piercing?

I really want to get my belly button pierced, and not for any particular reason, I want it just like I did my ears. but, my mom doesn’t like it. what can I tell her to convince her that I dont want it for anything sexual, or whatever.

ok … when I first brought it up to my parents … all they said was “over my dead body … “ then I did some more research on it … I learned how they do it … what it feels like (it doesnt hurt at all btw…) how to keep it clean … how to prevent infection … just genral information that you would want to know …

then for about a monthe I was on my aboslute bestest behavior … ya know … kiss up to them … get the chores done … homework … all that stuff for about a month ..

finally I created a power point with slides on how much I wanted to get this done stating facts on that I wwasnt going to be a hoe about it (like you mentioned) and I also put facts that a PARENT would like to hear …

finally I presented it in a grown up … mature fashion … they tlaked and they said since I have been proving myself that I was allowed

so JUST HAVE PATIENCE .. if they dont say yes at first dont whine and complain .. try again a lil later … keep up the hard work … IT WILL PAY OFF …

I asked my mom and I was honest with her. She appreciated the fact that I wasn’t going behind her back and getting it done with out her knowing. So she took that as being mature and said if I save up my own money I could get it done. So yea, thats how it happened with me.
