Do I eat too much?

I’m an active 17 year old male, but I’m BIG too. This is what I ATE TODAY,

Breakfast-four pancakes, two bowls of cereal, and a small package of donuts.

Lunch-Two chicken sandwhiches, two things of fries, a bag of brownie bites.

I eat in between, I snack.

Dinner-Two steaks, a pretty big portion of mashed potatos, a ig portion of corn. I went up for seconds.

This does seem like a lot, but it really fills me up. I’m 6’0, 285lbs, and I’m a 17 year old male, who works a lot, and tries to exercise when I can.

alright mister, yes I think you eat too much but mainly you choose wrong choices when you eat. breakfast cereals typically have lots of sugar so definately cut out the doughnuts if you eat your cereal. doughnuts are loaded with fat. try filling up on fruit and protien for breakfast. hopefuly you like eggs because those are good protein breakfast things to eat and they keep you full longer. once you get older your body won’t use up this fat your eating as efficiently and what you eat now determines your metbolism later and your health history for the future. people who get cancer and other illnesses don’t get it from something they eat over night. its a diet they have for years that create these problems(and genetics) but look at your parents. are they trim? are they over weight? are they healthy? your young, but not too young to be thinking about this. watch out. eat smart. there lots of yummy foods that will keep you full and healthy. educate yourself!!!

well I think this is pretty too much!! I believe that exercise every day is very important but you have to eat wright too If I were you I would just eat the two bowls of cereal for breakfast donuts have a lot of sugar and pancakes too!!if you eat them once a week it’s okey but every day…:/ Just try to cut down the amount of food you eat every day!!!

Answer #4

You’re a big boy, you’re obviously going to be eating a lot more than other dudes. Just try to limit the amount of crap intake ( like fries, donuts, etc.) and I think you’ll be all right. You could also do some light exercises, like walking every day or something to get the heart and blood pumping.

Answer #5

you should eat less but you are about to stop growing, thus, gaining weight. so if you stick at that weight throuout your life you will not be fat but you do overeat.

Answer #6

Eating a lot is not such a bad thing whenever you are 17. I think most of these people have overlooked that portion of this tale. Yes I do believe you should eat healthier even though I ate worse and less lol. If you eat healthier you can eat more and stay the same weight and you will feel better in the long run even though it might be a little more expensive. Just slowly start trying new and healthier options and do your research before eating “health bars” just because they say it doesn’t mean they are. If it contains corn syrup then most likely it is not healthy at all. I think you’re not doing as bad as these people make it sound like it is.

Answer #7

WOAH. I think eating a lot isn’t bad because yes a lot of people have different energy requirements. However, you should be eating more healthy things. Your breakfast is LOADED with sugar - doughnuts, pancakes and cereal? That is extremely bad for you. Why don’t you try eating whole wheat toast, and maybe some boiled eggs - that way you get your fiber and protein. Get sugar free syrup for your pancakes if you really like them (many less cals but tastes the same). I can’t see you so I don’t know if you’re overweight but you should be eating more nutritious foods instead of all that sugar.

uum it sounds like a tonn!!! but I don’t know, your active and thats good. but I suggest to eat 1 portion and then wait 4 like 5-10 minutes, and if your still hungry go bac 4 more. but its better to eat 5 smaller meals then to eat 3 big one’s!! o yea snack on healthier things like carrots and ranch dressing.( thats what I do!)

I think you eat too much – just cut out the sugar and fat, and you’ll be fine.
