counselling

my friend really wants me to get some counselling, I”ve been cutting and other crap and I’m only getting worse. but I really don’t want to. anyway, how much would it cost to see an average counsellor??? please help. xx thanx

I no you might not want to now but it really helps just to relieve all the stress. im a cutter and it just really helps to go and just talk to someone that knows how your feeling and that can help you. and it depends on the counselor you go to. good luck and fun mail me if you have any questions.

You could start by going to a wellness center or something like that at your school (which is free). Then they might direct you to an inexpensive counselor if they feel you need further help.

This is a hard question to answer… I dont know how much counselors where you live charge, it’s about 100-125 here, however insurance sometimes pays quite a lot of it, sometimes your copay is $15… if you go to a low cost place they’ll charge on a sliding scale… really depends… My question would be how much is my health worth to me… If you end up in the hospital and paying thousands of dollars, maybe a therapist would end up being a lot cheaper…
