How to control your cravings?

I am having a chocolate free November. With Halloween, I found myself eating a lot more chocolate than is healthy. I’m having a chocolate free month just to remind myself that I need to eat with meaning, no mindless eating. I’ll appreciate the taste of chocolate even more. How do you cope with cravings?

Answer #1

Put them in the freezer (hard and ‘out of sight’) - then if you think of one - take 1, I say again, 1 out and put it in the fridge to be enjoyed after din-din !!

Answer #2

whenever I get a craving, I just chew some sugarfree gum and I even saw some chocolate flavoured gum @ dari-mart [tho that mite just b 2 wierd 2 try.lol]

Answer #3

Toxins in chocolate? Last I read chocolate was supposed to be full of antioxidants and good for you.

Dark chocolate seems to be the healthiest but like other rich foods too much is not good for you.

I like to get a big bar of dark Toblerone (my favorite chocolate) and break off one or two mountains every day to eat. This way I can enjoy it in moderation.

Answer #4

Whenever I crave somehting that I Know I cant have,I comprimise.I think of all those toxins in the chocolate, and the purity of an apple. And that usual;ly helps me decide.

Answer #5

The best way I’ve found to control cravings is probably chewing on ice, or distracting yourself. Chances are if you can distract yourself long enough, the craving will subside.
