Can you train a bird not to go to the bathroom everywhere?

Hey I was going to get a Nanday Condure, and I read all I could about them.

I like to my my pets have as much freedom as possible, but in a controled safe area.

I was wondering…when the bird is out walking aroun will it just go to the bathroom everywhere? Can you train it not to?

Nanday Condure you can not train as with other birds. All birds go to the bathroom as they move. So sorry to say if you do let it out in a controled safe enviroment like your home, it will go to the bathroom everywhere that it pleases!!! Good luck with that sweetie!!

yeah as far as i know, most birds cannot control their bowels. the food just goes through their digestive system and, when it get to the end, it just comes out! so, i guess you could make sure you don’t have anything sitting out that is not easily cleanable and put plastic covers on your furniture. and buy lots of paper towels or clorox wipes… sorry bout that!
