At Deaths Door, a poem for your consideration. (any thoughts?)

At Deaths Door

Time goes by so slowly When all I want to do is hang on, I shift to get a firmer hold But my fingers slip, I grasp harder But my fist bleeds, I look above my limp arms But the skies are the deepest most velvet like black, I call out to any watching souls But none answer, It feels like there is no end to this excruciating pain, Then my heart stops when I see the light That has ended the lives of so many, My fear vanishes, My head feels light, Is this a sign? Have I gone to heaven?
