How do you put on tampons?

Well I got my period yesterday and today I went to go change my pad but there weren’t any there was only tampons. I’ve never used a tampon but I thought I should try it but the thing is I have no idea how to use it. I took it out of the little plastic thing and just stuck it in but it felt so weird to walk and sit so I decided to search for a pad luckily I did but when I took the tampon out it hurt a lot. Is that normal? I feel I need to learn to use one since I’m a girl so can you please tell me everything about them and how to put them on!!(:

Well yeah, it does come with instructions but that plastic thing is an applicator. You leave that on, put your fingers at the end of the larger part, slide it in til your fingers are at the edge of your vagina then push the the end of it with your finger until the cotton part is out of the plastic (or cardboard) and throw that part away. It’s hard to explain without using pictues or anything lol.

It probably felt uncomfortable because you didn’t use the applicator so it didn’t go in far enough and it probably hurt coming out because 1. you had never used one before and 2. it was probably pretty dry.

Hope this helps. =]
