How can I tell when my period is over. How do I know when to stop putting in tampons?

just after you start to notice the blood flow lessen use pads. after awhile you’ll get the hang of how long your period is and everything.

Well, generally your flow lightens up and turns from bright red to a reddish brown to a light brown on your last day or two. Count how many days your period is. Around the second to last day, only use small/slender tampons or switch to a panty liner. I buy a box of tampons that are super absorbent for heavy flow and light ones for the last day or two.
