when our worlds are apart

I am a chinese but I was born a filipino. I grew up as a chinese. my fiance is a filipina. we were planning our marriage but I think our worlds could never meet. my family believe in one thing and my fiance’s family believes in another. what must we do? we tried to talk to our family’s but you know parents… I don’t want our marriage to be just like that. is there a filipino or a filipina here who could help me??? I just don’t know what to do with them. I hate traditions. what do you think we can do?
