What should I do when my puppy wount stop crieing?

My puppy is 7 months old and he is quiet when everyone is around as soon as we leave him in his cannel to go anywhere or for him to eat his meals he will not stop crieing until we bring him upstairs what should I do?

Answer #1

Don’t reward the behavior…once in the crate, he’s in…and he must learn that. Just like a little kid who won’t go to bed…

Answer #2

just ignore it… they have to learn… but give him stuff to do in the kennel… and should be socialised regularly with other animals, and people… He is a puppy and thats what they do, so teach him how he should behave now… =) x

I dont know if my advice will work for you but, obviously it worked for me. when it was time for my dog to go into the kennel and he would start crying, I would let him cry for a few mins and if he didnt stop I would walk up to the kennel door and say to stop in the sturnest voice I have. haha. after a couple of weeks with that reaction, he realized that when he’s in there, crying wont help~

Answer #4

get him one of those bones that have holes in it then put some peanut buter in the holes…that will keep him busy trying to lick the peanut butter while you are out. Plus peanut butter is suppose to be good for a dog.

Answer #5

Most puppies suffer from separation anxiety. My puppy is a huge lab, 8 months old, and she suffers a lot when I even leave her to go to the bathroom.

Get the puppy around more dogs.
