How to help my friend who cuts herself?

My Best Friend told me she cuts herself. What do I do and who do I tell?

ok well.. don’t start off by telling a counselor or teacher…use them as a last resort if you will…but being a cutter I can say this… be there for her whenever you can…she ma not want you there but do it…show her that you care and that you’re there for her no matter what. Just be a friend…show her how important she is to you. Because trust me one day she could loose ‘control’ and maybe cut too deep or hit a vein or an artery and bleed to death and I’m sure you don’t want that. But if it does get out of hand then you should tell someone who can get her help…because it’s not good to cut…

You should tell a counselor or a teacher or a parent. your friend may get mad at you but it’s for the best. you don’t want her to be in any harm.
