Answer #4

5’9” 125-130 is perfect. This is for all body types. But, you need to be toned, strong and most of that lighter mass needs to be muscle. (Get yourself to the gym) As the person above mentioned, a very healthy diet that includes lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains and soy, (not dairy) is perfect for you. Include cooked Tofu for protein (Trader Joe’s brand), low fat soy peanut butter, and try to fill up on low fat soup’s, (Campbell’s offers a great variety) (veggie broth-not chick stock) and lots of salads. I snack on non-dairy, low-fat yogurt poured over a big bowl of mixed berries and sliced banana every day. I also whip up Egg Beaters-Egg Whites with mixed in chopped veggies and fat free veggie cheese every morning. Its very filling and about 90 calories per serving. No refined sugar, gluten free is the way to go to stay thin and healthy. Btw, I’m a professional Ford Model, a surfer and a snowboader so staying active is key also. :)

Everybody’s frame is different, so you can’t take Body Mass Index calculations without a grain of salt, but I’d say anywhere from 130 to 160 pounds is perfectly normal. 170 would be a tad overweight, and 125 would be underweight.

I don’t really agree with that book because that would mean that a woman who was 5’11 and weighed 155 pounds is the “ideal weight.” While it would still fall in the range of “normal” weight (I.e. she wouldn’t be considered underweight or overweight), she could still gain at least 15 pounds and still not be considered overweight. Of course it depends on her frame and everything, but still. A woman who is 5’11 at 155 is not necessarily “healthy,” and would likely have that “too skinny” look, kind of like a nicole richie thing. The weight falls within “normal range” but that normal range would go from 155 to 170 for that height.

Answer #6

I’m 5’9’’ too. Anything from 130 to 160 is good. Anyway it also depends on your body frame I’m very curvy so I weight 157lbs but my friend who has a more boyish figure is 135lbs we both are ata healthy wight and on the body mass index. Talk to your doctor if you want to make sure though

Answer #7

I am 5’9” and I weigh 117, 118. I have been told that I am “underweight” and that I should be around 125-160+. I am a vegetarian- lots of fruits, veggies, nuts, the only liquid I will ever drink is water, I work out one hour a day/ seven days a week so I think I am pretty healthy with the way I eat and the amount of exercise I do. so to answer your question I think if you are healthy- meaning you eat “enough” calories a day, exercise, get enough sleep, and eat healthy foods (no junk foods or refined sugars) then you should be just fine.

Answer #8

Depending on age. When I was 21 I thought 120 was fat. At 40 years old and a large frame I weigh 168 and wear a size 10. I am happy with that. Go by you’r size not your weight.

Answer #9

well I read in a book called walk your way to being skinny or something like that and it said for women starting at 5 ft they should be 100lbs and add 5 pounds for everyinch… and for guys it would be adding 6 pounds for every inch after 5 ft.. so for you , it would be 145lbs…

Answer #10

130-135 isn’t bad weight for you, since you are tall… I mean for me im 5ft and I weight 127 so im over weight.. I have to be between 94.4-110.. I want to be 105-110…

Answer #11

I don’t know but you can like find out what your body mass index is and then go from there. just look up bmi and itll tell you what to do =]

but id say like 130 maybe. I don’t know

Answer #12
