Why does time seem to go really slow when you are waiting for something?

Answer #1

Because by that time you become impatient and eager. in my opinion the excitement slows time down. as they say, a watched pot never boils. (:

Answer #2

i agree with kayla, its because you are watching time and thinking hard into time where as if your handed something you aren’t. a great example is at work it take 2 min for potato bites to cook, that like nothing for the customer to wait , but for me it seems like forever because i’m waiting for it to be cooked so i can get them out as fast as i can to move on to the next order.

Answer #3

Because your mind isn’t really occupied except with the thoughts of whatever you are anticipating. You are excited, waiting and wanting whatever it is so you are thinking of it.
