how can i stop my kitten pooing everywhere?

Answer #1

when u see them doit put thier nose to it and say no and give them a lil pop not hard tho

Answer #2

That’s not how you train kittens

Answer #3

Cats are very particular creatures. Usually, all you have to do is show a kitten the litter box and they figure it out. You do, however, have to make sure that the litter box is kept clean, and if they have had an accident somewhere, it needs to be thoroughly cleaned or else the kitten will smell the waste and think that its supposed to go there. Just keep directing him/her to the litter - they do catch on.

Answer #4

thanku its been about two months now the litter tray is always clean and im always putting her in there if i notice she starts to go but she just wont stop goin by the front door i scrub the carpet everytime after she has gone there but she just keeps doin it i even put a litter try there and she dont go in it she will go next to it!

Answer #5

Have you tried changing the type of litter you’re using? It’s possible she’s finding something offensive about it.

Answer #6

ive tried wood based one and stone one

Answer #7

try to train ur kitten, if it poops inside ur house, dont feed it, or put it outside, then if it poops outside, give it food or stuff it would like, then it would realize that he must poop outside, i did it with my puppy :)

Answer #8

OK, really…training a cat is totally different from training a puppy - you don’t put the cat outside, and you don’t deny it food.

Answer #9

ok sorry , chill…

Answer #10

Don’t tell me to chill….just don’t give bad advice.

Answer #11

ok, i think ur smart, but please dont be arrogant….

Answer #12

I’m not being arrogant, I’m asking you not to give out poor advice…what you recommended could be potentially harmful - putting a cat outside can result in that cat being lost, attacked by another animal, hit by a car, and that doesn’t even include the possibility of someone trapping it because it’s on their property, etc…see what I’m getting at?

Answer #13

There’s something wrong if the cat is not going in the litter box. Try a different box. Try having two boxes. Try different types of litter. If it is covered, try having it uncovered, if it is uncovered, try covering it. Try different locations, it needs to be in a quiet area which doesnt have random loud noises. Puppy training methods are not going to work. The cat will just figure out that she needs to do her business when you’re not looking, or she’ll find better hiding places.

Answer #14

sorry didnt mean to start a arguement
