Is it too soon to change my bellybutton ring?

I know it’s not completely and totally healed, but I think it’s perfectly okay to change my piercing. (I’ve had it for 2 months now) BUT the problem is I’m scared that once I get the old one out. I’m not going to be able to get the new one in. can anyone help me? PLEASE?

Don’t bother answering this question anymore. I already changed it. It’s been two months, and cross my fingers it’s been fine for about two weeks now. So I’m not too worried

the first time I got my belly button pierced I got excited and changed it within two months, and since my body was not yet ready, (it wasnt quite used to having metal in it) my body rejected it which basically means it grew completely out of my belly button and I had to get it re-pierced(which hurt a lot more since he had to go through the tough scar tissue.) I would suggest waiting until the proper time issued and when you get it changed go back to the place you got it pierced and let the professionals help you.

Use common sense please. You are not supposed to change the jewlery until fully healed. The piercer should have given you a date for it. Also you should always go back to your piercer for your first jewlery change to insure you are fully healed. By changing it before healing time you risk infection. Don’t be impatient, wait until it is healed.

If you are really nervous, go to a piercing parlor or tattoo shop and ask any of the piercers to help you change your belly ring. Most are more than happy to help you out and will even give you tips on how to change it best. They can also answer any other questions you may have as well as have a wide array of new belly rings you might be interested in getting.
