How soon can I change my ball on my tongue ring?
I just got my tongue pierced about 5 days ago, the long bar is getting really aggravating when I try to eat. I was wondering how soon could I change from the long bar to the shorter bar?
you’re supposed to wait 4-6 weeks. If you change it before then your tongue can swell all over again. I just got mine done 4 days ago.. I know it drives you crazy but it’s better to wait than risk it swelling again.

I wanted to change mine as soon as I got it done! I think its best to play it safe and wait the given time before you change anything to reduce the risk of infections.. if you think your going to be eager to change it just don”t buy, look at, think of, or daydream about the cute little balls you could possibly get.. lol just enjoy your tongue not being swollen and be patient..!!
As soon as swelling is gone you can change it. The long bar is only there to accomidate the swelling! Go get something cute!
You can go to the piercer and have him/her change it. Since the swelling has gone down, there’s no point in the long bar anymore.
Are you sure about this? because I don’t want to change it too soon and risk something happening to it
