I don’t think sand is gonna keep him warm …. ? I don’t know about aquatic turtles but what about a heat lamp. :o

I reccomend a heat lamp. The sand will trap in too much bacteria and would be hard to clean.

well i got a lamp for them but the water has been getting really cold since the weather got colder. and my furnace isn’t working right now so my house is kinda cold. would it be safe for just a little until i get the furnance fixed.

Maybe put a heating pad under the tank ?

They’ll be fine until the furnace is fixed. Even if their water is cold after it’s fixed, a heating lamp isnt really needed. They’ll adapt to it and be fine.
