How long would you have to serve in prison for threatening someone with an unloaded desert eagle and you are ex-army?

Don’t worry I’m not planning on doing this but I am writing a book and need to know this. Thanks in advance xx

Threat with a deadly weapon is a sentence of up to twenty years - it could be reduced based on the fact that it was unloaded, so you can play with that, and as far as being ex-army, the most that will happen there is you would be stripped of all your honours…a dishonourable discharge.
