Does an iPod touch have better "connection capabilities"(I guess) than a ps3?

I’m in my room(2nd floor and the router is in the basement) and my ps3 either won’t let me sign in or it will disconnect me soon after I log in but my iPod has a two bar connection and I’m using it to ask this question…but idk it just seems(to me) that a ps3 should be able to connect easier than an iPod…

My PS3 slim connects fine even though my WiFi signal is a little weak in my living room.

Does your wireless router need to be in the basement? If it was more centrally located you would probably do better. I’d also try moving the PS3; the spot you put it could be a dead spot due to whatever in in your walls or floor.

It was put in the basement “for a reason” apparently(believe me I’ve tried to get my dad to move it before lol) and I just moved my ps3 from the shelf it’s been on to a cabinet thing that is basically the level of the floor and it still isn’t helping…I saw that you answered my other question(or wrote a response to someones answer and I’ll be sure to try it out).
