Independency has to break

For 2 years now I have been a very independent person,I think it came from my mom,I just told her it’s reall messing my social and life up,she said put it in a sentence which ticked me off. How can I break this so it doesn’t pass on to my future children?

Answer #1

What I mean is that,I barely socialize like I did when I was 13-15,but now I barely talk to anyone,I’m the first one home after getting off the school bus. The kids in my area are a little bit of trouble makers, not the kind of people I like being around.

Answer #2

That’s not independence as such… that’s just not socializing… and you’re young, I really wouldnt worry about it being passed on for now. Right now I’d worry about the why, and the how to fix it…

Answer #3

Uhm? what? being independent has little to do with being social? American society is based on a foundation of independence… maybe you could explain further…
