guitar strings issue !

My strings are too close to the fretboard , how to fix this problem , btw I bought it 2 days ago !1

Answer #1

Change the guitar strings. But change them three at a time, not all at once, or you will bend the neck!

Answer #2

What kind of guitar do you have? Acoustic? Electric?

For an electric, you adjust the hex screws on the bridge to alter the action. For an acoustic I’m not 100% sure about the best way to raise the action but raising the bridge would work. I’d say go back to the store where you got it from and they should do it free of charge. Shouldn’t be a big deal.

Answer #3

First off look at the bridge. There should be little hex screws (above answer). Just get an allen key that small and I believe loosening them makes them higher.

Another thing it could be is the neck. Something might be wrong with the truss rod. Take it to the place you got it if loosening the screws on the bridge doesnt work. The truss rod can be a tricky sucker if you dont know what youre doing.

But if youre only getting buzz on a few frets you could try taking the strings off and sanding the fret that its buzzing on down. But again dont do it if you dont know what youre doing or you’ll mess it up!

Hope I helped!
