How will my dog act after she is spayed?

Im getting my rat terrier fixed next week,will she act diffrently.She is territorial over me and bites anyone who messes with me will she mellow out or get worse?

I had my dog spayed last week now she has urinated on my couch twice and on the floor and never did before. Is this normal?

First congrats on making a wise health choice for your dog. Yes this may change, the younger the better. I am not sure how old she is. I have a soon to be 4 yr old male chihuahua and he was neutered when he was 2, so we are still working on the lifting of the leg on things in my house. But this should help and also use training and I would say you are on the right road. One thing to be sure of is talk to the doctor about cutting back on her food. There body changes after being spayed and if not fed a right diet they can become way to fat

Usually dogs become more calm after they are spayed. I haven’t heard of any dogs that become more vicious after being spayed.

But that said, mine seems to still have the same amount of energy.
