How to use an exercise ball?

Alright so im thinking about purchasing an exercise ball. I know that I have to get a 65cm based on my height (5’5). Was wondering if anyone has used one to lose weight, and if it was effective? Also, if I were to do 45-60 minutes of speed walking on a incline treadmill, then use the exercise ball, would this be a good workout to acheive weight loss? Im currently 170lbs, and im trying to loose about 30-40lbs.any estimations on how long this will take? I will be drinking a lot of water 8-12 cups a day, and eating better. Thank you so much for your time, I appreciate it!!!

I don’t think you would need the excercise ball if you are using the treadmill and walking that much. Excercise balls are for low stress workouts, I really don’t know anything about excercise balls, except that I use one in Physical Therapy for simple stressful movements. My brother lost a fifty pounds in about 4 months, by cutting his caloric intake, just remember take in less calories than you burn everyday and your pounds will melt away. He cut his caloric intake to 900 calories a day. Its possible with fruits, proteins, and low fat snacks if the need arises.

Hey there ! A stability ball is mostly used to tone your muscles an for light excercise such as stretching. you use your own body weight to balance and do movements on the ball.

I would advise you to maybe use the stability ball AFTER you have gained your goal weight. By losing some fat in the body and then toning muscles you can prevent that chunky big boned look.

If you’re looking to do cardio and toning, ( and remember you need cardio-vascular activity to burn fat stores.) I would suggest taibo, kick boxing or aerobics.

If you’re a beginner at excercise its important to remember that you need to warm up and stretch before any excercise, even jogging or yoga. Start with something like walking before you attempt anything else.

Tip: Always work out in the mornings as this boosts your metabolism even more.

And remember not to over-induldge in the water.. Yes water is excellent for you.. But too much can lead to water pollution in the body - Causing cells to be over-filled with water and burst causing them to die.

Drink no more then 1 glass of water every hour .

I wish you all the best in achieving your success :) x (Beauty & Fitness student.)
