How to control anger

I noticed that I get angry instead of taking the time to explain my situation, and then I say some stupid, irrational things… How do I squash down my anger long enough to try to let a person see my point of view? How can I work on it?

I used to have the same problem..

I just find that it’s no use to get angry over something, and I calmly tell my side of the story, on which ever subject it is.

Just tell yourself that - over and over again - it’s no use to get angry, because that’s when things go bad, because then you cannot control the anger.
