How much weight can I lose if I did 180 push ups a day before july 13 and could I get a mucle pack of some sort?

Not that much really. For most people, if you push all the way from the floor up, you’re only rising about 2 feet. The amount of weight you are raising is about half your weight, but your body is only about 50% efficient, so it uses twice as much energy.

So, for every 100 pounds you weigh, you’re pushing 2ft50 pounds2 per push up = 200 foot pounds, or roughly 0.06 calories per push up, per hundred pounds you weigh.

You have to do 100 push ups to burn 6 calories (for every 100 pounds you weigh). So 180 a day, assuming you weigh 200 pounds, would sadly only be about 20 calories per day. In 10 days, roughly 200 calories, which is only about an ounce of fat!

Push ups are nice for strength, but awful for weight loss. For weight loss, you have to walk/run/jog/swim/bike/etc. You lose roughly 100 calories per 10 minutes of rigorous aerobic exercise.

20 minutes a day, for 10 days, you can expect to lose about 1 pound.

Think about how hard it is to work it off, when you’re putting it in your mouth. 1 silly cookie costs you 10-20 minutes of sweat.
