How long before my son walks?

I have a 22 1/2 month old litle boy and he is my world, he had a lot of health problems the fisrt 6 months of his life and started everything late. he can crusie and crawl but I am so excited for the day when he will walk on his own my question is how long does it take after they have been crusing for about two months before they actually let go and do it on their own?

well my 1st son starting walking at bout 12 months. so it just all depends on there development I guess.

Answer #2

it`s different for every boy , and it depends does he have teeth or not because some times they get teeth befor they walk and some walks before teething :)

Answer #3

it’s different for every baby. some don’t ever even crawl they just walk. so there’s really no standard. if it concerns you maybe you should ask his dr.

Does he walk while holding your fingers? If he does, does he feel as if he is balancing on his own? If he does, it won’t be long at all. When my daughter started to feel balanced, instead of her holding my fingers, I held a washcloth tight between my hand and she held onto the middle of that. 2-3 weeks late she could do it on her own…as long as she held the washcloth. It was a confidence thing.

it sounds like hes made a lot of progress so far. he probably will start walking soon. encourage him 2 walk from 1 person 2 another by calling his name and telling him how good he is. it sounds like mimini hasnt got a clue, teething has nothing at all to do with walking that is just crazzzy!!!
