how do impulses travel through a neuron?

need I say more? explination short as possible please! (preferable 1 sentence)

Answer #1

Impulses travel through neurones by the consequetive opening and closing of voltage gated ion channels which produce a potential difference across the membrane, which moves along the axon or dendrite as the action potential or impulse.

That’s a very very brief summary, I could go in to more detail if you want.
