How did y'all make this site?

We make some money. I have a day job :) as do the other 2 people who started the site.

Google Adsense (http://www.google.com/adsense/ ) is the program we use to make money…and, their policies forbid people from saying publicly how much they make, etc.

want a cool site that can make money

Well, if I knew how to make this both cool & make serious $$$, I wouldn’t have a day job :) As to how you do it…well, first you need to learn how to build a website, then something about marketing, then something about programming (as it gets bigger, you’ll need to know that) and then, something about community development, etc, etc.

Feel free to ask - or better yet, first search on our site search, then ask, as we’ve covered a lot of those things in good detail already. Eg, “how to make a website” we get asked once every week or two, and “how to make money online” etc, has been asked dozens of times…at the end of the day, it’s about building a community :) And we appreciate you being a part of this one.

Also, we spend most of the money we make on staff to run the site, web servers, and engineers to make new features…b/c we’d like to make it that much better.
