Highlights gone wrong

I love foiled highlights and I like a very light blonde (creamy, with no gold and not grey/silver either), and most times my hairdresser gets it right. It was becoming very white and he suggested putting a colour mousse after washing the bleach out, which would warm it up. I didn’t like it at all as it made my hair beige and a bit dull. It lost that lemony blonde colour. I attempted to try to get rid of it by applying a purple shampoo which removes gold/honey tonesand luckily just tested on a few parts. When I washed it out and dried it, it had turned grey. The next night I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo and it did reduce the grey a bit. Will the mousse tint gradually fade out after a few more washes?

Answer #1

Yes, it should fade. It was just from a mousse, try washing your hair atleast 10 times before you try and dye it again.

Answer #2

my answer is that when you go to a hair dressers and you dont like what color your hair turned out tell them and they will fix it since they would know more about what to do to fix your hair since they are professionals… but you know that when you wash your hair, the color tends to lighten…

Answer #3

I had my hair highlighted blonde and some parts for too yellow, so I used Clairol shimmer lights purple shampoo (left it on for 5 min) and some of my hair (a lot) turned greyish purple.

What should I do?
