Hamster making noises all the time

we got a new hamster today, and its makin really loud violent hissing/squeaking noises all the time it never shuts up can someone tell me why?

same thing happened when my best friend got a hamster ;) But thats just because it’s not used to the area aroud him yet,he needs a bit of time to settle down(about 1-5 days). when it’ll settle it will be fine! ;)

This is normal. Hamsters chew on a lot of thing. Clean them selves a lot and generally make a lot of noise when moving. There really isn’t much you can do about it.

He’s probably scared and nervous being moved to a new place. What is the cage setup? Does he have enough room to run around, or even better, a wheel? Mine also loved paper towel rolls and toilet paper to chew up and make his nest. They need to be kept busy or they get bored.
