Hi,

From the research I just did online, many fire bellied toads have brown in their coloring. He could just be aging and changing color as he matures.

What are you feeding them? They should be fed earthworms or crickets.

Also, make sure they have a cage with a heat lamp or heating pad on one side of the cage only. That way they can go to the warmth when they want, but have the option to go on the cold side. Humidity should be around 75%.

Good luck.

The toad’s main diet should be crickets and you need to feed the crickets before the toads eat them with something like tropical fish flakes and red or orange vegetables, then when the toads eat them they will retain their colours. I wouldn’t recommend trying to touch them too much as they will probably not enjoy it and please use gloves if you have to handle them. good luck

I am feeding them mealworms but I am going to feed them something else because I’ve read that mealworms’ hard exoskeleton can be dangerous to the toads. Thanks for the help given above^! :):):):):):)
