What are these 'droplets' on my wound?

I grazed my elbow on concrete today, it hurts too much to wipe the blood off and wrap up so it’s just open and I’m dabbing it every few minutes. Little droplets keep gathering on it. They are clear and look like dew/water droplets on a leaf. What is it/are they? is it normal?

Answer #1

It’s normal, they’re platelets? I think. They help clot it and stop it from bleeding. But that’s like grade six and I’m not all here right now XD

Answer #2

Haha thanks. I figured it was part of the healing process somehow… But then I was like omg my arm is secreting clear liquid, I’d better turn to Fun Advice.

Answer #3

Well that is part of the healing process as u thought, and u get the clear liquid cuz that’s wat keeps the wound clean so dirt or anything can’t settle in thr and cause an infection, hope that helps and hope ur elbow gets better soon :-)

Answer #4
