Does this effect growth of height?

‘m a 14 yr. old young male. My height is 5’”5 and I weigh very little. So I’ve decided to gain weight through lifting weights. I’ve been lifting 10 pound dumbells and doing hammer curls with them around 200-300 REPS. Will that effect my height if I do that everyday? Between how many pounds of weight can I pick up in order to prevent from stunting my heeight growth?

Answer #1

It won’t stunt your height, but if you are trying to gain bulk (muscles) you need to lift heavier weights. 200+ reps will give you endurance, not bulk.

Answer #2

lol you wont stunt your growth, just work out!! I used to lift all the time and I still grew! I am a girl and I am 5’11, adn can curl 25 easily(wow that makes me sound really buff, but I look totally normal and slim)! so it doesn’t stunt your growth… trust me!
