Do I have a sleeping disorder?

I’ve always gone to sleep really late and never got enough hours of sleep (sometimes as few as 5!) and I want to change my bad habit. I feel really tired in the day and can’t concentrate. Sometimes I’m so tired before dinner I drop down and fall asleep. I’ve tried going to bed a little early but it makes things worse. I can’t sleep until about 3 hours later and I don’t feel any better in the morning. Do you have any tips on how to get more sleep (I need HEAPS more) or how to fall asleep faster??!

You need to go to sleep a few minutes earlier every night, until you adjust your self to going to bed early. Also dont take a nap in the day, you are just going to make it harder to go to sleep. Dont watch TV in your bed, or do anything else in your bed during the day or before sleep, then you brain will associate your bed as TV time which means, AWAKE time.

There are a few herbal teas you can find at grocery stores that help with falling asleep. Also if you eat a banana before bed, it is supposed to help put you to sleep.

Good Luck!
