What would happen if a parent reports that their child self harms I’m just curious

Depends who they report it to. Usually therapy and counseling are put into effect sometimes if the case is really out of hand the child would be admitted to a center for a brief time. hope this helps

Who exactly is the parent reporting this to?

It’s not suicidal behavior so there’s no point in sending them to the psych ward in a hospital…

The only thing the parent could do is get them admitted into an inpatient facility, but usually this is a last resort method, therapy is usually tried first… sometimes CBT, sometimes combined with DBT (this is really effective).

Again, who is the parent reporting this to?
