cat eye watering

I’ve noticed one of my cat’s eye is watering more than usual. It’s not red, swollen, she doesnt seem to be in pain, there’s nothing there apart from extra water… Any ideas?

Answer #1

may have been an abrasion - cat eyes are bubblier than dog eyes, and more liable to get things poking it. I’d say warm washcloth, oxygen peroxide the area… watch it for skin that start to spit, good chance her eyelid is cut.

Answer #2

I would just keep a close eye on it. I am sure you have taken a close look at it to make sure there is nothing in her eye. If you do not see anything in it, just watch it closely.

Answer #3

she might have an overactive tear duck. if it does’nt hurt her, just clean for her when she is dripping from her eye.
