you may actually want to see the room before you buy too much (they are tiny), and you’ll need to know what type of space there is in order to buy storage containers (so like will you be storing stuff under your bed, or in your closet will depend on whether they’re long and flat or upright) what type of rug you want to get will depend on the size of the room…

also talk to your roomate… you only need one tv (make sure it’s the type that comes with a dvd player), one tv stand one telephone with answering machine, maybe a fridge/microwave etc so decide who is bringing what… the uni should provide you with a list, but in general, a reading lamp, your school materials, book bag, laundry basket (make sure it’s the type that folds up), water bottle, pillow, address/phone book, bathroom supplies (if you dont have a private bathroom you’ll need to carrying bag), shower slippers, etc etc
