Any resturant owners out there?

Some investor friends of mine were talking about opening up a resturant. Any owners out there that could help us with advice? We recently purchased a nice building in a semi decent location (no other buildings around but at a fork in a road between 3 different counties). Thing is we are kind of at a toss up between resturant and internet cafe, the resturant is what we are mainly leaning towards because we have landed a great cook.

hook up the wi fi anyway. I’ve been to lots of resturants that have it. its great for business people on lunch. hire an awesome manager with resturant and bar experience to cover for you when you cant be there. what other kind of questions do you have? I’ve never owned one but I have worked at several and one of them came to me frequently wanting ideas.

Yeah we were going to set up wi fi connection. Its not going to be that big though, we will probably have two cooks and no servers. Pretty much service by number starting out. We don’t really have a manager type but we do have someone who has worked for us before who we really never had any problems with. He works for our privious buisness in remodeling who we recently discovered his talents for cooking. (part of the reason we are considering this route.) We would like the cook to ultimatly be the one in charge but he is too quiet. But I am just trying to get ideas.
