what are some good sugesstions to keep my puppy in one place and to make her feel comfortable at night?

Yes you need to get a small crate, give the pup treats when you put her in each time, this way she knows it is a good thing, she will cry but you have to let her be, she will break this, I have two chihuahua’s when I first got them (one at a time) they use to cry, I put a blanket over there cage and I have a Snuggle Safe in there with them, they whinned for about 2 nights and they were over it, now I leave the crate door open and they will lay in there on their own
