Will I gain weight by eating pasta?

Im into just eating pasta cooked with sugar for 5 mins on high temp eat 2times aday but will it make me gain weight or lose it

Answer #1

You need more than just pasta to be healthy. Typical pasta is made from white flour which is a refined carbohydrate. White flour is wheat that has its germ and bran removed then what remains is nearly pure carbohydrate which is ground so it enters your bloodstream even more quickly. If you are eating pasta for a lot of your calories you should look into the whole wheat variety. Some brands of whole wheat pasta frankly don’t taste very good but if you try a few brands you should find one that tastes good and is more nutritious than white pasta.

Like others said, eat fruits and vegetables as well. Steamed, boiled, and grilled vegetables are low calory and packed with nutrients.

You put sugar in your pasta cooking water? I never heard of that.

Answer #2

it depends on what type and with what. if you eat whole wheat pasta with little oil and margarine it is fine. dont eat that mush of it though. it also doesnt give us any protein

Answer #3

do you want to lose weight? Then pasta may not be the right way to go.If your stuck on the pasta thing ok but not everyday. otherwise pasta rocks!

Answer #4

you know im not positive but I heard that you do gain weight by eating pasta, if you want to lose weight eat a lot more fruits and vegestables and drink lots of water.

Answer #5

you have to vary your diet, fruits and veggies are good as well, dont just stick to pasta you could become less energized if its the only thing you eat and you will become unhealthy, also try doing some sports. always keep a balance of nutrients you take into your body and you will lose weight while being as you are (healthy I mean).
