How can I get a wild duck to come to me?

Anger it, if you make one mad and it has babies it’ll literally charge at you. While it’s attacking you, you may manage to be able to get a pet in there :)

it can really depend on the circumstances the duck is used to. i have been around birds and squirrels that are completely human tolerant, but others flee as soon as they see a human going towards them. If you went to a local park where people usually feed ducks, a wild duck may feel more safe to come towards you. when petting it make sure you gave it some food and let it know you have more otherwise it may flee.
