Why my puppy don't come to me when I call him?

He is a year old now and he don’t come to me when I call him. It makes me sad because when my mom calls him he trips ova his on feet to get to her. I treat him rite even give him the world! I paid 1,200$ for him the least he can do is come to me.

He doesn’t because he doesn’t think he has to. You’ve got take more of a leadership role in his life. So yes…you do the feeding, you work on his obedience with him…just 15 minutes a day can change how he sees you (a dog’s viewpoint). He sees mom as leader of the pack (don’t think he doesn’t watch the dynamics between you and mom…he does).

You work with him doing his sits, stays, downs…and you will elevate yourself in his eyes…

Maybe you should try and bond more with him, Make your relationship STRONGER. Are you the one to feed him? Well, if not then YOU feed him, Fill up his food and water bowls and put it on the floor. BUT, make him sit before you give him the food.

Walk him. YOU put on his leash, and YOU walk him. Bathe him. YOU lather up his soap, etc. Play with him, YOU teach him tricks.

All of these things will strengthen your bond and relationship. And if none of these things work then, put him in front of you in a quiet room, Remember get lots of treats first, Then call his name and if he looks or comes up to you give him a treat, If he doesn’t come up to you then keep on calling his name, Loud and clear until he comes to you. Who feeds him? Who walks him? Who bathes him? If its your mother, well the dog doesnt know who paid for him. Just who cares for him.
