One other thing…

you do realize that Iraq is a FOREIGN country…they have their own laws, just like the US has it’s own laws. That’s clear, right?

So…if it’s another country…suprise! miranda rights don’t exist. I’ve lived in three different countries and visited nearly a dozen or so…thing is, the US has some great laws and some bad ones.

When the troops are overseas, though…the laws of the United States don’t apply :) Military rules of engagement do, and those are two very different things.

My friend also said the terrorists being tried in the NY civil trial, might get off because they weren’t read their miranda rights when arrested…I don’t know.

again…perhaps you should stop taking at face value what your friends tell you and do some research for yourself. And that does not mean just watching FOX.

But if you MUST only listen to FOX, here goes…

So, again, in answer to your question…NO. Soldiers are NOT informing the enemy of their miranda rights.
