Why is my snot yellow? HELP!!?

I know im some kind of sick. It started a few days ago with a sore throat. And last night I had a stuffy nose. Today its worse and im blowing out, sometimes, huge globs of yellow snot (srry I know its gross) I’ve already been thru a whole role of toilet paper from blowing so much. I have a headache and slight fever. but my throat doesnt really hurt now. Do I have a cold or sinus infection? Also any home remedies for this, I cant go to the doctor cus im out of town. PLEASE HELP! :)

It may be just a cold, but unless it starts turning green you should be okay. If your temperature is topping 100 ºF, though, I’d start thinking about getting an antibiotic from your doctor.

If you blow your nose a lot, it is likely your nose will start bleeding, so don’t let that make you think its getting worse. Try getting some aloe-treated kleenex so your nose won’t dry out. Go buy some cold and sinus medicine (the best kind is the stuff they keep behind the counter with Pseudoephedrine in it) and take it as prescribed. My favorite is Aleve D. It’ll turn a terrible day around REAL quick.

Rub Vicks Vapo-Rub on your chest and neck when you go to sleep (some put it on their nose, if you can stand it) and try to get a cheap humidifier to keep the air moist so your nose won’t dry out.
