why does someone pass away in their sleep?

My friend passed away in his sleep last night, he was only 17. Why does that happen? What causes someone that young to pass away in that manner? I’m just so confused about everything and I can’t seem to find any answers.

Lucky guy… Sleep Apnea is my best bet. Maybe (if he was depressed?) he poisioned himself?

Thats the way I’d like to go. Or in an epic sword fight. Neither seem likely though =D

it could be any number of things, the only way that you can know for sure is if there is an autopsy done

holy smokes I know someone who was in his late 20s and it happened to him and the cause was unknown, he didn’t wake up. and to think of it I once had a dream where I was having trouble breathing and then I woke up grasping for air…lucky right? or else.
