Why do people hate the rich?

I don’t hate rich people. What I dislike is when rich people use their wealth and power to lobby for unfair tax policies that lays most of the tax burden on the middles class.

I dont hate rich people who worked hard for their money. I hate rich people who had everything handed to them their whole lives. Those are two totally different things.

I don’t dislike the wealthy. By a lot of people’s measure I am wealthy.

I’ll gladly pay more in taxes than those worse off than me. I also expect someone who makes 10 times what I do to pay more in taxes than I do. Some people call this redistribution of wealth; I consider it fairness. The wealthy got there because they live in a society that provides them the services and security to prosper. They use this benefit to a greater degree than those worse off so it is only fair they pay more.

I DONT HATE RICH PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR THEIR MONEY OR WORKED FOR IT LEGALLY ETC, BUT ITS OTHER PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW AND GET RICH THAT WAY. I STILL DONT HATE THE RICH BUT I ALSO HATE IT WHEN THEY BRAGG, because MONEY CAN’T BUY HAPPINESS.
