Why do cigarettes give me the urge to have a bowel movement?

Everytime I smoke a cigarette I get the urge to have a bowel movement.I was wondering why .please answer if you know.

The same thing happens to me! I don’t really have an idea why, but bowel movements come when you get nervous, so if your new to smoking cigs like me you arn’t use to the ‘buzz’ it creates and it can make you a little upset to the stomach and cause you to have a bowel movement.

Nicotine is a stimulant…that’s why you get the urge to go.
